Supercritical extraction of Acer truncatum seed oil

Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) is a method that uses supercritical fluid as a solvent to extract certain effective components from solids or liquids and separate them. It has the advantages of simplicity, efficiency, safety, no organic solvent residues, and no pollution. Therefore, it is different from common methods for extracting Acer truncatum seed oil, such as cold pressing, organic solvent leaching, water enzymatic method, and supercritical fluid extraction. At present, supercritical extraction of Acer truncatum seed oil is adopted, with mature technology, simple operation and low cost, and the obtained product meets food safety standards. The content of nervonic acid can reach 6%-8%.

Molecular distillation technology to extract nervonic acid

Molecular distillation technology mainly uses the difference in the free path of molecular motion of different substances to realize the separation of substances, so it can operate far away from the boiling point, and it belongs to a special high-vacuum liquid-liquid separation technology. At present, plants are the main source of nervonic acid extraction.  Traditional methods such as urea inclusion method, metal salt precipitation method, and low-temperature crystallization method have problems such as obsolescence and low efficiency, making it difficult to meet the needs of today's society. The multiple molecular distillation technology can not only increase the yield and purity of nervonic acid, but also increase its production efficiency.

In the research on nervonic acid oil, Zhongyuan's subsdiary company Baofeng Biotech determined the intervention effect of nervonic acid oil on cognitive function and alleviating hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy refers to the diffuse brain tissue damage caused by the inability of the supply and utilization of oxygen to meet the metabolic needs of brain tissue due to acute cerebral hypoxia. It is more common in newborns. The prognosis of the disease is poor, and early diagnosis and early intervention can significantly improve the prognosis. Most of the children died or had severe sports or intellectual disabilities. Infants with mild HIE are generally considered to have a good prognosis, and very few develop cerebral palsy or severe intellectual disability.
